ToyVault Privacy Policy

Last updated

These documents apply to ToyVault, an iOS app published by Norevian Works. Questions: support@norevianworks.com.

This policy explains how ToyVault (“ToyVault”, “we”, “our”) handles information when you identify toys from photos and manage a collection. ToyVault creates an anonymous account to provide its server features; you do not create an account with a name or email address.

Photos and AI processing

When you choose to analyze a toy, ToyVault uploads your selected photo or photos to our servers and sends them to our third-party AI service provider, kie.ai, which routes the request to Google Gemini. The providers process the photos to identify the item and produce an estimated value range. Do not include people, addresses, documents or other sensitive information in photos.

ToyVault stores scan photos in private server storage. Photos are deleted from our servers after 30 days. The AI identification and result are kept on our servers for up to 90 days, or until you delete the scan or use Delete My Data, whichever comes first. The AI providers may process information under their own terms and policies.

Account and scan information

ToyVault signs you in with an anonymous Supabase account. The server uses its identifier to associate your scan history, AI consent, free scan allowance and subscription status with your app installation. Scan records can include the submitted image paths, scan status and the AI-generated identification, such as toy name, category, condition-related value estimate and search terms. We do not ask you to provide a name or email to use the app.

Your collection and device data

Your collection, including item details, quantity, purchase price, notes and collection photos, is stored on your device and is not uploaded to our servers. ToyVault also keeps a small photo copy on your device for scan history. Deleting a scan hides it from History and removes its photos and identification content from our servers; collection items are separate and remain until you remove them or delete the app. Delete My Data also clears the local collection and photos after the server deletion succeeds.

Purchases

Apple processes App Store payments. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier and purchase or subscription status to provide subscriptions, maintain access and restore purchases. We do not receive your payment card details. Restore Purchases is available in ToyVault Settings.

Analytics

ToyVault records limited product events, such as app opens, scan outcomes and purchase-related events. The MVP records these events locally through Apple’s OSLog; event data is not sent to an analytics provider. Event parameters exclude photos, toy names, notes, prices, account identifiers and scan identifiers. RevenueCat separately processes purchase and subscription activity for its services.

Data deletion

In ToyVault, open Settings and choose Delete My Data to delete your server-side account data and start a new anonymous session. The app also clears your local collection and photos after server deletion succeeds. You can delete an individual scan from its result or History. Server photos are otherwise removed after 30 days and scan results after 90 days. Deleting the app removes data stored only on that device; use Delete My Data first to request deletion of server data.

Children

ToyVault is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through ToyVault, contact us so we can address it.

AI estimates

Toy identification and value ranges are generated estimates and may be inaccurate. They are not appraisals or financial advice. Check recent sold listings and verify item details before making a buying or selling decision.
